Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, one of the daughters of musicians from Mexico, was born to an affluent family. As a child, she was exposed to lots of classical music, as well old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana loves Tangos, opera and the various forms of dramatic performing. She began her singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she performed in several chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist with traditional Latin American music at private concerts. She is passionate about arts, music and performing has her participating in numerous local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity communicate with other people her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the traditions living.
