Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actress. She is famous for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television show. After her parents' divorce the actress left Worthington Ohio in order to settle with her family in Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first role as the title character in the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In 2002 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford played the lead actor in Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace was a co-star together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move into the world of film. In addition, she appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. She reprised the role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired between 2013 and the year 2014. She portrays Faith as a female groupie as well as a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's the daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began in the teen years with minor appearances in her father's films and appeared together with her brother in famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). Then she appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) and Sherrybaby (606), both that earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. The actress gained more attention when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in during 2006. The role she played in Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child earned her nomination to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. After that, she went on to play in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Won't Back Down (12). The other roles she's played included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) in addition to her role as the Kindergarten Teacher. Gyllenhaal debuted as a director and writer in 2021, with the psycho-drama The Lost Daughter.
